Hello all!
I am proud to say that I am keeping up with my new fitness regiment. It's been about 17 days of consistent working out, but I am here to talk about my experience using the app called, "FitOn."
Before starting my new regiment, I did try the FitOn app before to get some workouts in when I was doing my best to maintain my weight during my wedding planning process. I was skeptical though. The ads were not very convincing for me, but I was tired of my same old YouTube workouts from people I assumed were not trained in the traditional sense. You'd be surprised how many injuries happen because the videos on YouTube are done by people who do not use correct form or do not explain things in full detail for those who are not accustomed to working out on a daily. Don't get me wrong, I still love Vince of VShred because that program and workouts do work and I 100% stand firm on my stance on that. However, I had trouble getting back on the VShred program when I was in wedding planning mode because of all the stress and mental issues I was experiencing.
Anyway, I downloaded the FitOn app and was pleasantly surprised. The diversity of workouts was AMAZING! I know every person has their own ideal type of working out. I am a HIIT cardio and dance girl. I have a friend who is yoga and aerobics all day. FitOn has workouts for EVERYONE! They even have an intensity rating so you know how difficult the workout may be. I have been using this app for a while now and they have tailored suggestions to workouts I tend to enjoy (like Zumba and booty workouts). You can also save workouts you love so that you can revisit them! It's very convenient! Not to mention you can try any of the workouts and, if you don't like it, you can exit out or rate the workout so that the app can keep tailoring the workouts for you.
My favorite thing about the FitOn app is the trainers. These people know what they're talking about. Not to mention the trainers/workouts I have been following will typically explain modifications to their workouts in case your body is unable to follow their workout. This way you can still follow along, get your sweat on, and not put too much stress on your body or worse hurt yourself!
I've always been a fan of video workouts you can do from home and FitOn is practically perfect. I do not follow the app everyday on my new regiment. I use FitOn about 3 times a week, these are typically done on my VShred rest days. I do not suggest people following my regiment unless you know your body and consult a physician, but I like how this incorporation of FitOn works for me. It gets my heart pumping, but my typical workouts are not super intense to the point that I am in pain or my muscles feel like it cannot heal properly.
If I have anything negative to say about FitOn, it would be that it's similar to finding a therapist- it will take some time to find the right one for you. What I mean by this is there are many different trainers and workouts on there. It's great because it provides variety, but I've come to learn that while I love Zumba, there are 2 trainers I do not like. FitOn will take some trial and error to find the trainers you like, where you vibe with their energy or motivation, but definitely well worth a try. I have every intention of keeping this app on my phone and continuing to incorporate it with my new health regiment.
That's all I have to review for this app today. If you'd like to keep up with my fitness journey, feel free to follow me on IG@leenaraves7 or just keep up with this blog. I am planning to post at least once a week here, so let's see how that goes haha.
Much love,
Leena Ravenwood
